Detroit City Distillery creates small batch artisanal spirits from their distillery and tasting room located in Detroit's famed Eastern Market. Each spirit tells of a rich history harkening back to Detroit's underground bootlegging movement during Prohibition, and the unique brand of Rust Belt entrepreneurship that is ever-present in the region.

Working in collaboration on the product packaging designs with Joshua Smith and under the creative vision from owner Michael Forsyth, I led the visual storytelling of each label by illustrating the myth-like origin tales behind each spirit, creating a portal into another time and place. Together, we launched an iconic brand that has rapidly expanded beyond the region and onto the shelves of artisanal markets and major retailers.
